A workshop for the legal team of the “Ahsin” voluntary educational initiative
A workshop for the legal team of the Ahsin voluntary educational initiative was held on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
The workshop was attended by Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi, President of the Initiative, and Ms. Shahad Bougamasha, Secretary of the Initiative, in addition to the virtuous lawyers Shaikha Al-Baraka, Vice President of the Legal Team, and Hayat Al-Mahdi, Head of Public Relations and Media. Also present from the rest of the committees were: Rana Al-Qattan, Elaf Al-Ansari, Jumana Al-Faris, and Bedour Muttaqi.
This workshop comes as part of the legal team's efforts to promote education and rehabilitation initiatives for inmates of correctional institutions.

Signing a cooperation protocol to promote child protection and support voluntary education
In a step aimed at strengthening the protection of children's rights and expanding opportunities for education and rehabilitation, the National Society for Child Protection, headed by Dr. Siham Al-Freih, signed a cooperation protocol on Tuesday 8/10/2024
with the “Ahsin” voluntary educational initiative led by Ms. Nouf Mohammed Al-Enezi.
This cooperation aims to unite efforts between the association and the initiative in developing educational and training programs for young inmates, to empower them for a better future.
The signing of the protocol was witnessed by prominent figures from both sides, including Ms. Lamia Al-Majed from the National Society for Child Protection, Ms. Shaikha Al-Baraka, Deputy Head of the Ahsin legal team, and Ms. Rana Al-Qattan, a lawyer on the Ahsin legal team.
This ambitious collaboration reflects both parties' commitment to their responsibilities to the community, and emphasizes their shared vision to build a safer and more supportive society for young people.

Ahsin Educational Volunteer Initiative Legal Team Meeting
On Monday, October 7, 2024, the legal team of the Ahsin voluntary educational initiative met at the headquarters of the Kuwait Lawyers Association in the presence of a number of volunteer lawyers in the Ahsin voluntary educational initiative, which aims to rehabilitate male and female inmates and integrate them into society in an effective and positive comprehensive manner through university education and vocational training accredited by the Public Authority for Applied Education & Training (PAAET).
The meeting was chaired by the head of the initiative, Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi, in the presence of the secretary, Ms. Shahad Bougmasha. The meeting was led by Ms. Sheikha Al-Baraka, vice president of the legal team, in cooperation with Ms. Hayat Al-Mahdi, head of the Public Relations and Media Committee, and with the active participation of lawyers Ghadeer Al-Enezi, Fatima Shaddad, Rana Al-Qattan, Aylaf Al-Ansari, Fatima Ashkanani and Jumana Al-Faris.
Ideas and proposals were discussed to strengthen the initiative, distribute tasks and involve attendees in legal tasks, and it was decided to organize periodic meetings to strengthen the initiative's work and ensure its continuous development.

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor opens its doors to national initiatives and public benefit, and H.E. Minister Dr. Al-Huwaila is the first supporter of the Ahsin Education Initiative
In a productive meeting held on Thursday afternoon, September 26, 2024.
Her Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, Family Affairs and Childhood, Dr. Al-Huwaila, received members of the Ahsin Educational Volunteer Initiative at her office.
The meeting was attended by the initiative's president, Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi, the initiative's vice president and social and educational consultant, Ms. Anwar Al-Tukhaim, in addition to the head of the education team, Dr. Fatima Al-Khalaf, Engineer Khawla Al-Tukhaim, developmental affairs consultant, and Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Tukhaim, founding member of the initiative and responsible for coordination and follow-up.
In a positive atmosphere, Her Excellency the Minister expressed her great welcome for the “Ahsin” initiative, stressing that “the doors of the Ministry of Affairs are always open to support national initiatives that aim to serve our dear country Kuwait.”
She also praised the team's efforts to support and rehabilitate inmates through education and training, noting that such initiatives directly contribute to strengthening community cohesion and rehabilitating individuals to become effective members of society.
The Ahsin team reviewed the initiative's goals and future plans, stressing their commitment to providing the best educational and training opportunities for inmates in cooperation with the official authorities.

The meeting was attended by Engineer Khawla Al-Tukhaim, Social and Educational Consultant Anwar Al-Tukhaim, Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi, President of the Initiative, and Ms. Shahad Bougamasha, Secretary of the Initiative. The meeting was a great boost to the initiative's march in achieving its noble goals.

Today at the headquarters of the Kuwait Lawyers Association, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, the Ahsin Educational Volunteer Initiative held a special meeting for the volunteer team, where the goals of the initiative were discussed, which seeks to educate and train inmates of correctional institutions in Kuwait and reintegrate them into society. The mechanisms of volunteering and joining the initiative were clarified, as the Ahsin team welcomed all those interested in joining and contributing to the realization of the initiative's mission.
The role of the Kuwait Lawyers Association in supporting these charitable efforts by providing a legal and social environment that contributes to promoting education and rehabilitation was also highlighted.

Social and educational consultant Anwar Al Tukhaim forms new management team for Ahsin
As of September 19, 2024, Ms. Anwar Al-Tokhaim, Founding Member and Vice President of Ahsin Educational Volunteer Initiative, announced the formation of a new management team and the establishment of key teams including the educational team, the legal team, and the projects team. Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi has been appointed as President of the initiative, Ms. Shahad Bougmasha as Secretary, Ms. Haifa Al Mubarak as Volunteer Affairs Advisor, Ms. Khawla Al Tukhaim as Business Development Advisor, Dr. Fatima Al Khalaf as Head of the Education Team, Ms. Shaikha Al Baraka as Vice President of the Legal Team, and Ms. Hajar Al Nassar as Head of the Projects Team. This arrangement aims to strengthen the initiative and transform it into an integrated association to serve inmates of correctional institutions.

On Monday, September 9, 2024, His Excellency Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Education, held a meeting with members of the Ahsin team for university education and vocational training accredited for male and female inmates in correctional institutions.
His Excellency expressed his deep admiration for the initiative, emphasizing its importance and its great role in rehabilitating inmates and improving their lives.
He immediately directed to overcome all difficulties to enable the initiative to successfully implement its goals.

Secretary General of the Council of Private Universities adopts Ahsin's voluntary educational initiative to support vocational education and training for inmates of correctional institutions
In a special meeting, the Secretary General of the Council of Private Universities, Mr. Adel Al-Bader, received the team of the Ahsin Educational Voluntary Initiative, represented by Ms. Shahad Bougamasha, Consultant Fatima Al-Ruwaieh, and Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi, head of the Ahsin Educational Voluntary Initiative.
During the meeting, the objectives of the initiative were presented and the latest achievements made thanks to the team's unwavering commitment to values that provide university education and vocational training for inmates in correctional institutions.
Ahsen's team presented the secretary general of private universities with a copy of the cooperation protocol and the plan to sponsor and implement the initiative with universities interested in educating and training inmates.
Mr. Adel Al-Bader expressed his interest in the initiative, stressing that the Council of Private Universities will study the initiative carefully, pledging to contribute to turning it into a real project in partnership with private universities and colleges, which have a national responsibility to support education for all segments of society, including the important category of inmates of correctional institutions.

Kuwait State Radio hosts Ahsin Education Initiative's volunteer team
On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, Kuwait State Radio hosted representatives from the Ahsin voluntary educational initiative team in a special episode titled “Education, Training, Rehabilitation and Employment of Male and Female Inmates Between Challenges and Ambition”.
The meeting provided a deep and comprehensive insight into the initiative's pioneering efforts to transform the lives of male and female inmates through education and training.
Ms. Anwar Al-Tukhaim, Social and Educational Affairs Advisor, spoke about the social and educational dimension of the initiative, stressing that education is an essential tool for rehabilitating inmates and enabling them to regain their active role in society.
For her part, Dr. Fatima Al Khalaf, a specialist in education and mathematics curricula, addressed the importance of designing educational programs that meet the needs of inmates and contribute to enhancing their scientific skills and abilities.
Mr. Ahmed Al-Mutawa, a lawyer, reviewed the legal aspects of the initiative, stressing the crucial role that laws play in protecting the rights of inmates and ensuring that they have equal access to educational opportunities, so that they can obtain certificates recognized by the official authorities.

The Public Authority for Applied Education receives the Ahsin Educational Volunteer Initiative team and praises the scientific study of officially accredited education and training solutions for male and female inmates of correctional institutions
His Excellency Dr. Hassan Al-Fujam, Director General of the Public Authority for Applied Education, received in his office this morning, August 27, 2024, the executive team of the Ahsin Educational Volunteer Initiative.
During the meeting, the team reviewed a comprehensive scientific study that aims to develop solutions to combat crime and reduce the number of recidivists, in addition to providing benefits to their families and highlighting the importance of education in preventing crime.
Dr. Al-Fajam also officially received the study from the initiative team, in addition to the attached book and protocol. He expressed his happiness and encouragement to implement the initiative, welcoming the support of this category that will benefit the generous Kuwaiti society, and emphasizing the importance of such efforts in enhancing the role of education in combating crime and supporting inmates and their families.

“Ahsin” voluntary educational initiative presents a comprehensive study to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society
In a fruitful meeting held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, representatives of the “Ahsin” voluntary educational initiative, Mr. Ahmed Al-Mutawa and Ms. Shahad Bougamasha, presented a comprehensive study of the implementation of the initiative to the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS).
This step comes within the framework of enhancing joint cooperation between the “Ahsin” initiative, which aims to educate and train inmates of correctional institutions in Kuwait, and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, which is one of the oldest public benefit societies in Kuwait and is known for its humanitarian and charitable work in many countries of the world.

Signing a cooperation protocol between the Kuwaiti Lawyers Association and Ahsin Educational Volunteer Initiative

The protocol was signed by Mr. Khalid Al-Suwaifan, Secretary of the Kuwait Lawyers Association, while Ahsin Educational Volunteer Initiative was represented by Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi, in the presence of a number of prominent personalities from both sides.

“Ahsin” academic team holds its first meeting to discuss interaction with Kuwait University and private and public educational institutions
Ahsin's Academic A Team held its first meeting on Monday, August 12, 2024 as an intensive workshop to interact with Kuwait University and private and public educational institutions.
The workshop was held at the office of Mr. Ahmed Mubarak Al-Mutawa, a lawyer, and was attended by Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi, Ms. Maryam Al-Enezi, Ms. Shaikha Al-Baraka, and Ms. Hayat Al-Mahdi.
Dr. Fatima Al-Khalaf, Head of the Education and Training Department, participated in the initiative via video conferencing as she is out of the country.
The meeting discussed ways to cooperate with Kuwait University, the Council of Private Universities, and the Public Authority for Applied Education to enable inmates of correctional institutions to complete their university education.
They also discussed plans to strengthen coordination between different universities and correctional institutions to ensure the best educational services for inmates.
This meeting comes as part of a series of meetings that aim to achieve the goals of the Ahsin initiative and contribute to the rehabilitation and training of inmates to promote their effective integration into society.

“Ahsin” initiative holds a successful B-team meeting and a fruitful workshop for the Social Committee in cooperation with the Media Communication and Public Relations Department
On Saturday, August 10, 2024, the first meeting of the “Ahsin” B Team was held at 5:00 pm at the office of Ms. Shahad Bougamasha, a lawyer and legal consultant in Bneid Al Qar. The meeting was attended by members Shahad Bougamasha, Abdulaziz Nasser Al-Tukhaim, Anwar Nasser Al-Tukhaim, Siham Al-Omar, Sarah Bouzair, and Bader Al-Mutairi, where many important issues related to the coordination, follow-up and public relations of the initiative were discussed and discussed.
During the meeting, a first workshop was organized for the Social Committee in cooperation with the Media Communication and Public Relations Department.
The workshop addressed topics related to the development of social programs to support inmates and enhance their integration with society after release. The workshop also distributed tasks to the members and defined the roles required of them in the next phase, to ensure the implementation of social programs efficiently and effectively.
It was agreed to set a suitable date for all the volunteers and that it would be soon.

Al Arabiya TV interview highlights the Ahsin initiative to educate male and female inmates in correctional institutions
On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Al Arabiya TV broadcast a promotional meeting with the founding members of the “Ahsin” voluntary initiative to educate male and female inmates of correctional institutions.
The dialogue addressed the importance of transforming the correctional institution from a penal institution to a real correctional institution by introducing university education and accredited vocational training. They pointed out that there are at least 100 male and female inmates who are interested in completing their university studies at various levels.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, Secretary General of Kuwait University, who praised the study presented by the “Ahsin” voluntary initiative, and called for more support and implementation to achieve the goals of the initiative. The Ahsin volunteer team met to review the compilation of responses, detailed answers, and the attached letter to the Deanship of Admission and Registration, and issued the following statement:
We are working diligently to achieve the goals of the first phase of the “Better” initiative, and we rely heavily on your valuable suggestions and recommendations. We assure you that all suggestions sent to us are taken into consideration and registered in the name of the volunteer initiator to give him the moral and ethical right he deserves.
We are now focused on achieving the objectives of the first phase, which include:
1. Linking Kuwait University and Correctional Institutions: To ensure that inmates can start learning, we work to create the necessary links and provide the necessary procedures.
2. Provision of stationery and learning tools: We will provide student inmates with everything they need to ensure they have the best learning experience possible.
3. Equipping libraries: We aim to equip 8 libraries, 7 for men and 1 for women, to provide a rich and supportive learning environment.
4. Prepare 1000 gift bags: In collaboration with corporate sponsors, charities and donors, we will prepare 1000 bags containing clothes, hygiene items, perfumes and other essentials.
Phase 2: Extensive conference and workshop
After completing the first phase, we will move on to the second phase, which includes an expanded conference and workshop entitled “Correctional Institutions Between Reality and Ambition”. This event will be held at a well-known hotel, with government sponsorship and the participation of government institutions, organizations, beneficial associations, the private sector, and prominent initiatives. We will also involve the GCC countries and some Arab countries, with the presence of international lecturers and participants. The event is expected to be held between November or December 2024.
This success will only be possible thanks to your cooperation and efforts. Let's continue to work with enthusiasm and dedication to achieve our goals and make a positive change in society.

Better Initiative meeting achieves new milestone in university education for inmates

Kuwait University - Shadadiya
The Ahsin voluntary team, represented by professors Nouf Muhammad Al-Enezi and Shahid Basem Bougamasha, lawyers, met with Dr. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, Secretary General of Kuwait University, to present the initiative project, which aims to activate the right of inmates of correctional institutions to complete university studies stipulated by law.
Academician Dr. Fayez Al-Dhafiri welcomed the initiative, which aims to instill hope in prison inmates that they deserve a chance to reintegrate into society and reduce the possibility of returning to criminal behavior after providing them with rehabilitation and higher education.
The meeting concluded with the doctor expressing his sincere desire to do everything possible to realize this dream after studying the project with the legal affairs.
Ms. Nouf Al-Enezi expressed her gratitude for the university's support for the initiative, stressing that education and qualification are the way to advance individuals and societies.
Ms. Shahad Bougamasha pointed out that the initiative came after years of effort and hard work, and embodies the fruitful cooperation between all parties, the Lawyers Association, Human Rights Committees, the Center for Monitoring the Conditions of Correctional Institutions, jurists, volunteers, inmates and their families, and various community initiatives, and aims to reintegrate inmates into society in a way that guarantees them a decent life and a bright future.
The meeting was an affirmation of Kuwait University's commitment to support projects that enhance the well-being of society and achieve social justice, which promotes hope for a brighter future for inmates of correctional institutions and for society as a whole.

Human Rights Center - Lawyers Association Meeting
The Center for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law met and discussed the idea of completing the university level for inmates of correctional institutions, where the idea was adopted by a member of the Center, Ms. Shahad Bougamasha, and it was decided to hold a panel discussion to present this idea with the participation of relevant and competent authorities and bodies related to correctional institutions to develop a plan and recommendations in this regard.
They discussed mechanisms to conclude agreements with human rights organizations to exchange expertise and joint cooperation in the field of human rights.
The head of the center also praised the decision of the Attorney General to change the name of the International Cooperation Prosecution to the International Cooperation and Human Rights Prosecution and to receive cases related to human rights issues, as this decision came to reflect the position of the State of Kuwait towards humanitarian issues at the international and local levels.
